POPCORN SALE 2009 – PLAN FOR POST SALES

An estimated $50,000 was returned to unit treasuries or as prizes to Scouts earned by selling popcorn. The council programs and services will receive $39,000 from the sale.
Overall, sales were not as great as prior years, perhaps due to the economy. Several units, committed to delivering the program that was planned by their Scouts, are continuing to sell popcorn. Satisfied customers look for more popcorn after the sale is over and Scouts should “be prepared” for followup sales.
Units that want to continue selling should contact Anthony Escobar to make arrangements to order more product. The council will continue to place weekly orders as needed.
